Rurira Coffee
 The Rurira coffee grows between the soybeans, bananas and Grevirea. The coffee is picked by a group of 210 farmers.  On average each farmer has 300 trees. After picking the red cherries, the fruit is brought to the wet mill the same day.  There the coffee is washed and fermented in water tanks between 14 and 16 hours. The parchment is then dried for 10 to 14 days, depending on the weather.  The wet mill has 200 drying beds and store the coffee in a ventilated warehouse.

Bright and crisp on the nose, the dry fragrance and wet aroma have ample wildflower, along with a dense and sweet malted grain notes. These come through in the cup as well, along with a firm brightness.
Aroma:  A dry fragrance of sweet grain and a strong floral undertone, finishes with bittersweet chocolate, and recedes quickly leaving a pleasant tannin tingle in your mouth.
Body: Medium body and flavour
Acidity:  nice stone fruit quality

Cupping Notes: Light acidity, good body, and dry with notes of cocoa powder and toasted almond. Costa Rica La Sonrisa finishes with a lovely sweetness on the palate.

La Sonrisa coffee is comprised of coffees from only the highest elevation farms in the Tarrazu region of Costa Rica. This area borders Panama to the south, and nudges up against the largest rainforest preserve in Central America, Parque Nacional La Amistad.
